GSYS provide turnkey control system package and field design

GSYS were approached by their client to build two Instrumented Control and Safety systems to integrate with their clients process system package which removes mercury from an existing process. The process skids were designed to be fitted into the end users facility to maximise their production. The two systems utilised different process skids but GSYS opted to build both ICSS systems almost identically in order to secure the work. this enabled the systems to be engineered in tandem and reduced the overall time to deliver meeting the clients time frame. The project comprised of:-

• Instrumented Control and Safety System Panel utilising Siemens S7-400 Processors
• Power distribution to the package and its skid lighting
• Local Equipment Room in a converted 20ft container compete with HVAC and field cable gland plates
• UPS and battery system
• Local Control Station based on Siemens PCS7
• Remote Control Station located in the clients main control room connected via bespoke pre-terminated fibre
• Plant / field E&I engineering, including earthing designs
• Software & system testing
• Project management and delivery of documentation
• System Commissioning

Result

The client received their control system packages complete and tested in line with the tight project program. This ensured a positive outcome for all.
